Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2010 BLOG

On Saturday September 23rd was Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2010. Where the reigning Miss Universe crowned the new Miss Mexico 2010 Karin Ontiveros in Saltillo, Caohuila. As I watched the opening number, all the girls lip singed, and danced to the song. I did notice that some of the girls did not know the song. The girls that i noticed that were into the whole dance number was Jalisco 1 Karin Ontiveros, and Veracruz. The Auditorium where the pageant took place, was amazing! A lot of people attended the pageant. I tried to look out for Roston from the Miss Universe Organization, but he was no where to be found. The pageant was hosted by Ernesto LaGuardia and Marisol Gonzalez. In my personal opinion, I think Ernesto is not a good host for Nuestra Belleza Mexico. He seems a bit tacky, and every year he always messes up a line he is suppose to say. Not my favorite host. When Ximena Navarrete appeared, she looked stunning in her black evening gown. I wonder if it's from Sherri Hill, the official dress sponsor for Miss Universe.

I actually loved the fact that they had a host to show behind the scenes throughout the show. It kind of reminded me of the Victoria Secret Fashions shows where the cameramen go backstage. Marisol Gonzales, 3 words, HOT HOT HOT! She was on fire with the white evening gown she wore for the show. Perla Beltran, Miss Mexico World 2009, was one of the official judges for the pageant. And she also was looking hot! Stunning woman, I still don't know how she didn't win Miss World. The contestants had a introduction number where they danced to "dancing is my passion" (techno remix), and they all did a great job. The routine was a bit repetetive. But it's not a big deal. These are the girls who looked the most stunning for the intro for Nuestra Belleza Mexico.

-Nuevo Leon - She surprised  me a bit, she looked a lot better with her hair done.
-Veracruz - stunning! I expected her to place higher than what she did. I expected her on the top 5.
-Aguascalientes - She has awesome facial features

-Jalisco 1
-Distrito Federal - I was expecting her to have her hair straight.

Abril Rodriguez was last years "Imagen Fraiche". Which is a company of Mexican made fragrances. She looked awesome in her royal blue gown. hmm... I wonder if she wore that last year for Nuestra Belleza Mexico, I wonder is she would have placed higher. Well the new "Imagen Fraiche" is Distrito Federal. They also announced the winner for the new representative for "Andreas" Shoes. And the award went to Karin Ontiveros, Jalisco 1. Which is now the new Miss Mexico Universe. I noticed that she had a huge crowd in the audience for her.

For the swimsuit competition, the ladies rocked the runway with Chino y Nacho as they sang "Mi nina bonita". The only thing that was a bit weird was that only the top 15 girls performed on stage. The contestants that didn't place, did not dance for the swimsuit competition. These are the following girls that i thought did the best in swimsuit. (remember  Nuestra Belleza Mexico does not show scores like the American pageants as Miss USA, and Miss Universe)

-Jalisco 1 - I loved the pose she did at the end of her walk. Very clever.

The evening competition was very fast. It only took about 4 minutes to show the top 10 compete in their evening gowns. The evening gown style was very big. As in corset, and then a huge poof on the leg part. Kind of reminded me the style of a wedding gown, but more couture. These are the best contestants who rocked it during the evening gown portion of the night.

Anabel Solis Sosa, Miss Mexico World 2010 made her last walk as her reigning title. She looks great, and i could see that she is ready for Miss World next month. I could even tell she lost some weigh. I am very happy for her. They also had a small moment for Lupita Jones, and it was awesome. I got a bit emotional when they showed the crowning of Lupita Jones, and then the crowning of Ximena Navarrete this past summer. : )

Overall, this was a great pageant. I wish Karin Ontiveros the best of  luck in this upcoming year. She has a big package coming to her, because she has to go to Miss Universe next summer and win the second consecutive crown for Mexico.
