Mr. World 2010 plans charity skydive
BIG-hearted Mr World Kamal Ibrahim is planning to skydive from 30,000 feet to raise awareness for The Variety Club of Ireland.
The Diary can reveal that the hunky Limerick model has his sights set on scoring a new Irish record with his ambitious challenge, which will see him fall from temperatures of -40C this November.
"I'm really looking forward to it. I was totally hooked on skydiving since my first jump," Kamal told the Diary.
"I'm not terrified because I've built up a lot of confidence and I know I have the best team in Ireland behind me. I've done 14 solo jumps so far and I need to do 11 more in Ireland over the next two weeks before I go to Spain to do 150 jumps in three weeks.
"I'm totally focused on training now so I've been very healthy, I've given up booze and I'm getting very fit because after three or four jumps in one day, you really start to feel the pain like you've been for a serious workout in the gym."
The 24-year-old, who is being sponsored by Buck's Townhouse for his adventurous event, is hoping to raise €30,000 for Variety -- a children's charity that works to enhance the lives of children who are physically, mentally or socially disadvantaged.

Swaziland will not compete in Miss World 2010 as the contest has been rescheduled to October. On the other hand, Miss Swaziland committee is fighting a legal battle with Swaziland National Culture and Arts Council over the ban on beauty pageants imposed earlier this year.

I found Ximena Navarrete in a Mexican newspaper in Jalisco, Mexico.
So when I was at the airport before i aboarded the plane to come to Chicago from Guadalajara, Jalisco, and I bought some glass stuff from the gift shop. The cashier wrapped the glass stuff with newspaper. and little did I know that it had an advertisement from Nuestra Belleza Jalisco, and Ximena Navarrete was on it. And yes, I got excited! lol.
Who would have thought she would have won Miss Universe?? : )
Nuestra Belleza Latina 2010 contestant - Heidy Alvarado
Heidy Alvarado is a true Chicago Beauty Queen. She has an outgoing personality, and one gorgeous smile. She is one of my favorite pageant queens I've met. To me, it is unfortunate she was eliminated from the show unfairly. She knew very well that all her fans and followers were very supportive with her throughout the 3 months she stayed in Miami to film Nuestra Belleza Latina (Univision). I hope to see her compete in one more pageant soon. : )
2010 Nuestra Belleza Latina - Flashback
This was the first season I watched Nuestra Belleza Latina, and I have to say that I was hooked on this show. My least favorite were the "fantastica 4". Which were Barbara, Tatiana, Fabiola, and Lisandra. The crown was between Ana Patricia and Carolina, and at the end Ana Patricia won.
